Resorts World Catskills opened on Feb. 8, 2018, on the site of the Concord Hotel. The property is run by Empire Resorts, a company that?s a part of the larger Genting Group, which has properties in Malaysia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the Bahamas, and more.

The initial plans were for the New York casino to be named Montreign Casino Resort. However, before the grand opening, Resorts World took ownership and added the casino to its brand.
