Lakeside Entertainment history and current owners
Lakeside Entertainment opened in 2004. The Cayuga Nation bought the premises from NAPA Auto Parts in 2003 and turned the building into a bingo hall a year later. However, the venue closed in October 2005 due to a jurisdictional dispute with authorities.
After an unsuccessful attempt to reopen the facility in 2013, the efforts finally came to fruition in March 2014 after the state negotiated with the local tribes, which resulted in a compact guaranteeing the Cayuga Nation the right to operate a gambling facility.
In 2020, the Cayuga Nation applied for a Class III license, but the US Department of the Interior rejected it.
