Caesars Fills Out New Jersey Online Casino Content With Design Works Gaming

Caesars has recently been investing more into its online casino offerings and it’s uncertain when that will subside. The latest such move involves New Jersey online casinos and one of Caesars’ existing content providers, Design Works Gaming.

With the expansion of that partnership, players on both Caesars Casino and Tropicana Casino in the Garden State will find some new games to sample. The expansion could also help Caesars capture more of a still-growing market.

Caesars makes Design Works Gaming deal multi-state

After debuting Design Works Gaming titles for Michigan online casino play last December, Caesars has headed east with the same strategy. A Wednesday press release confirms that Caesars will make Design Works games available for its online casino apps in New Jersey.

New Jersey online casino players are no strangers to Design Works’ work. Other online casino apps like BetRivers Casino in the state have already featured those games. Design Works has been building its presence among US online casino operators since landing on Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming platform in 2021.

Design Works Gaming most heavily touts its proprietary LuckyTap games. Those slot titles replace traditional lines and reels and mimic instant win games. Under that umbrella, Design Works Gaming has created customized, exclusive games for several partners.

It might have reason to do that more often for Caesars now. Caesars has pressed more resources toward its online casino offerings recently. That included reviving Tropicana in New Jersey and activating that brand in Pennsylvania as well. Caesars has also announced that it intends to release a standalone app in Pennsylvania.

The goal of all these moves is to capture a larger share of the ever more lucrative online casino market in those states. For example, New Jersey’s online casinos have produced at least $150 million in revenue in four of the past five months. However, Caesars Atlantic City was a distant fourth among the licensees in April in terms of its piece of that revenue.

New Jersey and Pennsylvania aren’t the only places where players can find Design Works games, though. Those titles are even more accessible in Michigan as well.

Design Works expands Rush Street deal as well

Earlier this month, Design Works announced that it has made a similar move with Rush Street Interactive. However, the geography of this partnership goes in the opposite direction. The relationship between those companies began in New Jersey and is now expanding into Michigan.

According to a Gaming Americas press release, several Design Works titles that were once available to BetRivers Casino players in New Jersey are now available to the same in Michigan. Those games include:

• Break the Bounty LuckyTap
• Double Fancy 7s

Rush Street emphasizes that more titles are coming to its Michigan app as well. Design Works Gaming has been busy of late across the country and its partners like Caesars and Rush Street could be among the beneficiaries.
