Wyoming April Online Sports Betting Revenue Up 25% From Last Year

The Wyoming Gaming Commission revealed its online sports betting revenue report for April.

According to their numbers, Wyoming online sportsbooks recorded a yearly increase in betting handle and revenue segments.

DraftKings remained the state’s leading operator.

Wyoming sports betting April numbers

According to the Wyoming Gaming Commission report, in April, Wyoming’s sports betting handle reached $12.62 million. The figure is a monthly decrease from the $14.78 generated in March. But it is a yearly increase from $9.99 million in April 2024.

April gross gaming revenue was $1.26 million, a 25% yearly increase from $1.0 million generated in April 2024. The figure is also a 31% month-over-month decrease from $1.84 million collected in March.

Adjusted taxable revenue from Wyoming’s sportsbooks almost doubled in April to $828,477. During the same time last year, the figure was 420,883. The figure is still a monthly decrease from the $1.3 million accumulated in Marc

Wyoming sportsbook operators paid a monthly tax of $82,848, more than in April last year ($51,187) but less than in March ($130,677).

DraftKings continues to dominate Wyoming’s betting market

Wyoming has four live sportsbooks DraftKings, BetMGM, FanDuel and Caesars.

DraftKings remained the leading Wyoming operator, as measured by the monthly handle by an operator. Here’s a total breakdown:

1. DraftKings has a 58.6% of all handles in the state
2. BetMGM accounts for 28.8% of the market
3. FanDuel has a 10.3%
4. Caesars captured around 2.3% of the market share

Wyoming players will likely see two new operators go live in 2024 – PointsBet and Barstool.
