Michigan Has Launch Putting State In Exclusive Company For WSOP

From here on out, it’s for real for Michigan online poker players. Monday morning brought a Michigan WSOP launch with games for actual cash prizes, making Michiganders part of an exclusive company with access to such contests online.

While Michiganders are now free to buy into any games on the site, there are still some freeroll events they can get in on as well. Additionally, the World Series of Poker has a promotion to help with any buy-ins.

WSOP Michigan is now live for real-money poker games

On March 28, WSOP.com flipped the switch in MI. Residents and visitors who are at least 21 years of age can register for accounts on the website and start playing games for actual cash.

“With two world champions coming out of this state, Michigan is a special market for the WSOP,” said Ty Stewart, Senior Vice President of the World Series of Poker at Caesars Entertainment.

“We’re sorry it’s taken so long, but WSOP.com is ready to make up for our late entry with industry-leading promotions, the biggest weekly tournaments, and player appreciation benefits like freerolls to the Main Event in Las Vegas.”

, PokerStars, launched in January of 2021. Now more than a year later, Michigan joins the WSOP party. Other states where WSOP offers real-money games are Nevada, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

On the site, players will find a variety of playing options. They include:

  • BLAST Poker
  • Daily guaranteed tournaments
  • Exclusive 2024 WSOP satellites for gold bracelet events in Las Vegas
  • Live No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha games
  • Weekly tournaments with guarantees starting at $50,000

If you want to try out the site before you commit to any of your bankrolls, you have options. In fact, WSOP.com will “pay” you just for your registration in Michigan.

Freeroll games, promos for Michigan poker players

According to a press release, WSOP.com is currently offering $50 in bonus funds. Players will get half of that promotional value when they complete account registrations. The site pays the other half when players complete their first deposits.

Additionally, WSOP.com offers a deposit match of up to $1,000. Making your first deposit also unlocks access to introductory freerolls. The freerolls don’t conclude after players’ initial weeks, however.

WSOP.com also offers players who make any deposit monthly freeroll games. Prizes in those games include VIP trips to Las Vegas to play there. For these reasons and more, WSOP.com has become one of the most popular online poker sites in NJ, NV, and PA.

Now, Michiganders have a chance to see if they share that opinion.
