Sports betting is all over the country, as sportsbooks have started going live in recent years as states have legalized it.

If you’re an NFL betting fan, you’re often not that far from a legal sports betting option (either a physical sportsbook or a mobile sportsbook app).

Playin USA has put together a handy guide so you can find the closest sportsbook to your favorite NFL team. Read on for more information; teams are listed by their division.

= Denotes the state the team is based in also has active legal mobile/online sports betting

AFC

AFC North

Baltimore RavensCapital One Arena William Hill (Washington, DC): Home to the Washington Wizards (NBA) and Capitals (NHL), Capital One Arena also houses the coun
try’s first retail sportsbook inside a sports complex. Powered by William Hill and expected to be replaced by a permanent sportsbook in early 2021, this DC sports betting venue is located in the box office and features seven ticket windows and 10 self-service kiosks. Plus, it’s less than 40 miles away from the Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium.

Cincinnati BengalsHollywood Lawrenceburg (Indiana): Less than 30 miles away and just over the border, Hollywood Lawrenceburg provides an easily accessible spot for Bengals fans. The Indiana sports betting property by Penn National offers 20 TVs and 25 kiosks inside Hops House 99, which features 99 different beers on tap. To boot, a bet-builder app allows bettors to put together their betting slips before even arriving at the casino.

Cleveland BrownsMGM Grand Detroit (Michigan): Truthfully, the easier trip would be toward BetRivers Sportsbook in Pennsylvania. As that sportsbook is just a short walk from Heinz Field, home of the Browns’ AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers, perhaps a scenic route around Lake Erie and the offerings of sports betting in Michigan will suffice. About 170 miles away from FirstEnergy Stadium, the BetMGM Sports Lounge at the casino is worth the trip.

Pittsburgh SteelersRivers Casino (Pennsylvania): If any Pennsylvania retail sportsbook could challenge FanDuel’s proximity title, it’s BetRivers, which sits about a 6-minute walk from Heinz Field. Covering 5,500 square feet, the sportsbook boasts a pair of 50-by-7 video walls, 24 86-inch TVs, 33 self-service kiosks and six betting windows. There are also Pennsylvania sports betting apps if you are in the state.

AFC East

Buffalo BillsSeneca Buffalo Creek (New York): Located less than 15 miles from Bills Stadium, the Kambi-powered sportsbook features a number of televisions to complement its selection of self-service kiosks that are open 24/7. For even more ease, sports bettors in New York can use a bet-building app that allows them to choose what bets they want and create a QR code to scan at kiosks and ticket windows, thereby speeding up the betting line process.

Miami DolphinsHard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi (Mississippi): It would only be fitting for a Hard Rock property to be the closest sports betting home for fans of a team playing in Hard Rock Stadium. That said, you’ll need to travel 769 miles to get there. Still, this Mississippi betting experience will be quite enjoyable, what with over 30 large flat-screen TVs with betting odds.

New England PatriotsTwin River Casino (RI): Not even 30 miles away, just over the border, the casino in Lincoln was the first to open a retail sportsbook in Rhode Island. The Sportsbook Bar & Grill goes all out with over 100 TVs and odds boards. (Rhode Island also has online betting, while Massachusetts has no sports betting.)

New York JetsMeadowlands Racetrack (NJ): Only retail sports betting is allowed in New York state, but that’s not an issue, because the team physically plays a short ride away in nearby New Jersey, a mobile-friendly betting state. No retail sportsbook will get as close to the stadium (without actually being inside) than FanDuel at Meadowlands. A mere 5-minute walk takes Jets fans from MetLife to the sportsbook, which features over 50 HD TVs, 20-foot screens and a large central bar for the ultimate in NJ online sports betting.

AFC South

Houston TexansHollywood Casino Gulf Coast (Mississippi): As Houston sits in the middle of nowhere — in terms of nearby legal sports betting options — finding a good sportsbook requires a lengthy drive. Just under 400 miles away, Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast, a Penn National property, offers 30 televisions in a betting lounge that is just a few steps from the Lobby Bar. During the trek to the casino, work out your betting slip via the bet-builder app.

Indianapolis ColtsIndiana Grand Casino (Indiana): The Winner’s Circle in Shelbyville is one of six Caesars sportsbooks in the state. It is the closest by far, though, to Lucas Oil Stadium. Equipped with all the accoutrements you could ask for in a sportsbook, Indiana Grand Casino features local beers and is less than 30 miles from the home of the Colts.

Jacksonville JaguarsIP Casino (Mississippi): A 511-mile straight shot from TIAA Bank Field, the FanDuel-powered IP Sportsbook didn’t cut any corners in creating a magnificent retail sportsbook. Bettors are greeted by 76 HD TVs surrounding The Sportsbar, which serves cold beer, burgers and wings.

Tennessee TitansHollywood Casino Tunica (Mississippi): Tennessee has no casinos and, as it stands, will have no retail sportsbooks. There are Tennessee sportsbook apps, however. If you are looking for a physical sportsbook, the closest option is just over the Mississippi border, some 260 miles away. A Penn National property, Hollywood Casino features an expansive 12-by-24-foot wide-screen TV plus 10 additional screens.

AFC West

Denver BroncosMardi Gras Casino (Colorado): Colorado online sportsbook leader DraftKings Sportsbook calls the casino home, just over 30 miles away from Empower Field at Mile High. The second retail sportsbook to open in Colorado, DraftKings does not disappoint, featuring 40 TVs, multiple odds boards and a full bar.

Kansas City ChiefsLakeside Hotel Casino (Iowa): Roughly 150 miles north of Arrowhead Stadium, William Hill has decked out its retail sportsbook at Lakeside. Equipped with 14 65-inch TVs and two 86-inch monitors, this retail Iowa sports betting operation is something like a Chiefs home away from home. Need proof? Helping out during Lakeside’s grand opening celebration last year: legendary Kansas City running back Priest Holmes.

Las Vegas RaidersBetMGM Sportsbook at Mandalay Bay (Nevada): You don’t even need a car to get from the stadium to this Nevada sportsbook. A brisk 10-minute walk separates the two venues. And the retail operation is world-class, with 17 large-screen TVs and seemingly endless seating. No doubt this spot will become a hotbed for Raiders fans.

Los Angeles ChargersPrimm Valley Resort and Casino (Nevada): As California does not offer legalized sports betting (yet), avid bettors will need to pack up the car and head east. The closest option is just over the Nevada border, about 260 miles away, at a William Hill-powered sportsbook. While it isn’t Vegas, this retail spot still provides a high-end sports betting experience.

NFC North

Chicago BearsHorseshoe Hammond (Indiana): This is a proper sports betting lounge right in the middle of the casino floor. Betting windows at the front, bars on each corner and stadium seating make this huge sportsbook a worthwhile straight shot south from Soldier Field.

Detroit LionsFanDuel at MotorCity Casino (Michigan): The Detroit Lions may be bad, but this sportsbook is good. Tons of HD TVs, 54 betting kiosks and six betting windows will make rooting for the hometown Lions a bit easier.

Green Bay PackersBetRivers Des Plaines (Illinois): Small but mighty! An entire wall full of TV screens, stadium seating and a 26-seat bar make this a first-come, first-served Illinois sports betting experience just minutes from downtown Chicago.

Minnesota VikingsFanDuel at Diamond Jo Dubuque (Iowa): In 2,150 square feet of classic FanDuel sports betting, it features four betting windows, nine kiosks, 34 TVs and three sports tickers that help make this sportsbook feel like you never left Vegas.

NFC East

Dallas CowboysOaklawn Racing Casino (Arkansas): Although it has only betting kiosks (for now), Oaklawn is a short drive from Dallas. Give it time; big plans are in the works to make this a proper Arkansas sports betting experience.

New York GiantsFanDuel at Meadowlands (New Jersey): Though the Giants’ home state of New York hasn’t legalized online betting, the team actually plays in New Jersey, where online betting is absolutely legal. Think of this concept as if Buffalo Wild Wings met sports betting. Simple, easy food, drinks and sports betting windows — that’s how things operate at the Victory Sports Bar.

Philadelphia EaglesSouth Philadelphia Turf Club (Pennsylvania): Location is key! This sportsbook is right across the parking lot from all four major Philadelphia sports teams — can it get any better than that?

Washington Football TeamCapital One Arena William Hill (Washington, DC): The full William Hill sportsbook won’t open till 2021. However, expect a restaurant-like atmosphere: bar high seating, TVs, betting windows and self-service kiosks.

NFC South

Atlanta FalconsSilverstar Hotel & Casino (Mississippi): This is another small but mighty sportsbook with a 24/7 lounge, adequate seating, phone charging stations and more essentials of sports betting.

Carolina PanthersFanDuel at The Greenbrier (West Virginia): Betting in style never felt so good. It may not be the biggest of the West Virginia sportsbooks, but placing a bet at the Greenbrier is an experience to be had. Jacket and tie are required; grab a dirty martini and hunker down, because this sportsbook cuts no corners.

New Orleans SaintsBeau Rivage Resort & Casino (Mississippi): Betting on sports never looked or felt so relaxing. Couches, bar high seating, cold beer and the ability to place sports bets anywhere on the casino grounds make this an ideal place to spend an afternoon.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers IP Sportsbook (Mississippi): With drinks and 76 HD TV screens, it
’s nothing too fancy, but still a good spot to place a bet, grab a drink and play a few slot machines while you’re at it.

NFC West

Arizona CardinalsBetMGM Sportsbook at Luxor (Nevada): When it comes to sportsbooks in Vegas, it’s all about the brand. Every lounge will come equipped with style, seating, drink service and the ability to place bets anywhere in the state. In this case, if you’re coming in from Arizona, the closest sportsbook with style is a good option.

L.A. RamsCaesars Palace Race & Sportsbook (Nevada): This sportsbook strongly resembles a movie theater. It features rows and rows of lounge seating, 13 betting windows, massive TV screens, a full bar and access to all the amenities the Vegas Strip has to offer.

San Francisco 49ersCasino Fandango William Hill (Nevada): This Carson City sportsbook has classic William Hill branding, a few betting windows and some tables and chairs to plop down in and watch the game.

Seattle SeahawksChinook Winds Casino (Oregon): An old-school, no bells and whistles type of Oregon sportsbook located oceanside right off Highway 101, it has a few betting windows, a handful of tables to sit at and a place to grab a drink and watch a game. There eventually will be sportsbooks in Washington state.
