Circa Sports Increases Prize Pool To $14 Million For Football Contests
Registration is now open for the Circa Million and Circa Survivor pro football contests. The guaranteed prize pool between the two contests is now $14 million.
Once again, Circa Million has a $6 million guarantee in prizes. The Circa Survivor contest prize pool has a big increase. The survivor-style contest prize pool has increased to a guaranteed $8 million prize.
In 2021 the total Circa Sports contest prize pool was $10 million. That increased to $12 million last year.
This year, the total prizes guaranteed between the two contests is another $2 million to $14 million. When discussing the new prize pool, Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens said:
“We always want to keep raising the stakes for our football contests and knew we had to go big for the fifth year.”
There’s no rake for either Circa Sports football contest. Since the contest organizer doesn’t take a cut of the e ntry fee, the prize pool can be higher for either contest. This is all dependent on the total amount of entry fees for the contests.
Since the entry fee for each contest is $1,000 the Circa Million contest will need to exceed 6,000 entries for a larger prize. Circa Survivor will need more than 8,000 entries to exceed the guaranteed prize.
Last year, Survivor entries exceeded the prize pool. Circa Millions did not but winners still split the guaranteed $6 million in prizes.
All participants must sign up for Circa Sports football contests at a casino in Nevada with a full-service Circa sportsbook. Circa Sports retail locations are located at the following Nevada casinos:
- Circa Resort & Casino (Downtown Las Vegas)
- The D Las Vegas (Downtown Las Vegas)
- Legends Bay Casino (Sparks, NV)
- Tuscany (Near Vegas Strip)
- The Pass at Water Street (Henderson)
Even though Circa Sports operates in other states, participants can only sign up for the contests in Nevada.
All picks for the contests must be submitted in person at a Circa sportsbook or via mobile app.
Players can participate in the Circa Sports contests from anywhere if they hire a Nevada proxy service to submit weekly picks. Proxy services operate independently from Circa Sports and must appear with the player when they sign up for the contest(s).
How Circa Million V Works
Circa Million is a traditional Las Vegas pro football handicapping contest. The entry fee is $1,000. One person can have a maximum of five (5) entries.
Each week players must make five (5) picks against a static spread. Players receive one (1) point for each correct selection. If a game pushes the player will receive a half point.
Circa Million point spreads will be posted every Thursday around 10 a.m. PST. Selections are due by 4 p.m. PST Saturday. During Thanksgiving week, point spreads will be posted at 10 a.m. PST Wednesday.

Once again the last-place “booby prize” winner will receive $100,000 for finishing the season in last place. This year the second-to-last-place booby prize winner will receive $50,000. Players must enter picks every week of the season in order to be eligible for these prizes.
Additionally, there will be a total of $300,000 in prizes per quarter. These prizes will be awarded every four to five weeks:
- 1st place per quarter: $150,000

Circa Survivor is slightly different than a traditional weekly pick contest. Like a standard survivor contest players will select a different team to win each week of the season.
This contest doesn’t use point spreads. Players simply pick a team to win. Once a team is selected it cannot be used during the rest of the season. When a pick loses, the player is out of the contest.
The Circa Survivor contest is different because there are more “weeks” than a normal weekly contest. Circa adds a “week” for Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday and Christmas Day.
Altogether, Circa Survivor will consist of up to 20 “weeks” throughout the year.
Picks are due at 4 p.m. PST every Saturday or before kickoff for the selected game. The additional weeks are slightly different:
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday picks are due by 10 p.m. PST the preceding Wednesday night.
- Christmas Day, picks are due by 9 a.m. PST on Monday, December 25.
Circa Survivor Prizes
The entry fee for Circa Survivor is $1,000. This year, each participant can have up to 10 entries.
Circa Survivor is a winner take all contest. The player or players who finish the season will win the entire survivor pool of $8 million guaranteed.
Since there’s no rake this prize could be more if entries exceed $8 Million. If multiple players finish the contest without a loss they will split the prize.
