Station Casinos Debut Cashless Payment Systems

International Game Technology (IGT) announced that its Resort Wallet and IGTPay cashless gaming modules of the IGT ADVANTAGE™ casino management system are deployed at Station Casinos’ six flagship Las Vegas properties via the STN Cash app. The integration of this platform will make Station’s Nevada casinos a forerunner of cashless technology for the company.

The global gaming giant announced the news on Oct. 4, making Las Vegas the epicenter of the cashless gaming revolution.

IGT and Station Casinos join forces to deliver cashless gaming at Nevada casinos

Through a multi-year agreement, IGT and Station Casinos have teamed up to deliver a user-friendly, intuitive and play-driving on-premises cashless gaming solution.

Quick and secure funding method

Available for download in the Apple App and Google Play stores, the STN Cash app offers users a quick, convenient and secure method for funding slot play from a mobile phone.

By combining IGT’s Resort Wallet and IGTPay, players can securely transfer funds to and from their cashless wagering account from an array of external payment sources. While Resort Wallet technology enables the creation of a PIN-protected cashless wagering account, IGTPay allows Station Casinos’ Boarding Pass members to transfer funds from bank accounts, debit or credit cards, and eWallets.

With a simple tap of a smartphone, funds in the cashless wagering account can be loaded into the slot machine as credits and are returned to the player’s account at the end of the session. The funds can then be cashed out or are then securely maintained in the STN Cash account until the next session.

Since Resort Wallet and IGTPay are the IGT ADVANTAGE casino management system modules, players using the STN Cash app will no longer require a physical Boarding Pass card during slot play. Just a simple tap of a phone will still accumulate and redeem reward points during carded play sessions.

The STN Cash app will be introduced at Barley’s Casino & Brewery and Wildfire Casinos throughout Las Vegas in the future.
