FanDuel Massachusetts Announces Online Prelaunch Offer

You can’t place legal online bets in the Bay State just yet. Although that privilege could be a little more than two weeks away. Regardless, Massachusetts sports betting app FanDuel is allowing you to sign up for an account so you can hit the ground running when that day does come.

The FanDuel app should be ready to go for Bay Staters the very moment the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) gives its approval. While it probably won’t be the only option in Massachusetts on that day, it could be the recipient of your first legal online bet.

FanDuel open for (some) Massachusetts sports betting business

Again, to be clear, FanDuel is not yet actually accepting bets through its app in Massachusetts. The MGC will decide when that can begin. As of the last update from the Commission, it has targeted 10 a.m. on Mar. 10 to allow licensed online sportsbooks to open their books fully.

That’s still very much a tentative date and time, however. It will depend on several fac
tors. Many of them involve the readiness of individual licensees like FanDuel. With FanDuel now accepting account registrations in Massachusetts, that’s a solid indicator that FanDuel plans to go fully live at its first opportunity.

Registering for an account in FanDuel’s app is not only free but quite simple. After downloading the app, just follow the registration prompts. The sportsbook just needs some information from you in order to verify your eligibility to bet on sports in accordance with federal and Massachusetts laws.

FanDuel offering prelaunch bonus bets
