Fox Bet Sportsbook Bonus Code & Review

When you combine a massive media empire with a huge gambling entity, it leads to big things. That’s the situation at hand for FOX Bet, which launched as the result of a deal between FOX Sports and The Stars Group.

There’s much more to see here beyond brand name recognition. The platform is really good, and that applies to both the web and app versions. In fact, it’s right in range with the functionality you see from industry giants like DraftKings and FanDuel.

The insured bet is another fantastic offer. Basically, your initial bet (odds of at least -200) will be covered, up to $50. If you win, the payout is yours, as it would be under normal conditions. However, if your bet is unsuccessful, the Fox Bet promo team will issue you a rebate in the form of bonus cash.

How to use the FOX Bet Sportsbook welcome bonus

The fact that you don’t have to jump through any unnecessary hoops makes the FOXBet bonus offer that much more attractive. You can be ready to go in just a few minutes by following these opt in steps:

  1. Go to promotions tab/page
  2. Click on the FIRST BET ON US promotion
  3. Register
  4. Click View Challenges
  5. Click the Opt-In button within 7 days of registration
  6. Place first bet within 7 days of registration

Your first deposit could be for something small like $10 to qualify for the promo, but it’s good for up to a maximum of $50. The offer applies to your initial deposit and wager, so keep that in mind, and you have to complete it within 30 days of signing up.

There’s also a minimum odds requirement of -200. Anything lower than that, like -250 or -500, won’t cut it. If you win, the sportsbook will settle the bet like normal, with the winnings appearing in your account right away.

If you lose, you’ll receive a refund equal to the amount of your stake, up to the maximum. It comes back to you in site credits that you can’t withdraw, but there’s only a simple 1x playthrough requirement that you need to meet.

As a quick example, say you deposit $200 after creating your account. You place a bet for that amount and it loses. FOX Bet will return the full $200 to you in site credits, which you can then use to place more bets.

Getting to try a new site with some insurance against an early loss is tough to beat. FOXBet lets you do so with its easy-to-understand sign-up offer.

FOX Bet odds boosts, promos and insured bets

Ongoing promos are commonplace at FOXBet. When compared to some of its competitors, the sportsbook shines in this area. There are standard offers available all of the time, as well as special tie-ins with network personalities that come up occasionally. Here is an example of some of FOXBet odds boosts available within the app.

In the main betting lobby, you’ll see a display of current boosts and other offers. There’s also a dedicated link for promotions on the main menu. When we clicked on it, here are just some of the offers that popped up:

  • Monday Parlay Club: Make a $10 parlay bet and get $10 bonus bet for another parlay.
  • Fan Decided Super Boost: Each Tuesday, fans help decide the boost on Twitter.
  • Thursday In-Play: Bet $20 on MLB and get $10 bonus bet MLB live bet.
  • Friday Happy Hour: Limited-time super boosts.
  • Saturday Super Boost: Special boost on the top attraction of the day.
  • Bonus Bet Friday: Follow FOX Bet on social media for the chance at a $100 bonus bet.
  • Bet Boost: Regular array of odds boosts on select wagers.

Lots of legal sports betting sites offer promos, but FOXBet offers extra incentives every day of the week. The same isn’t true for all of the competition.

Download FOX Bet Sportsbook app

FOX Bet app is available for Apple and Android devices. After you complete the sign-up process, you’ll be able to follow the prompts on the sportsbook website to download the app.

The downloads were very quick during our tests. The app itself is clean and smooth. We didn’t come across any glitches or lag time. From browsing the odds to placing bets and managing your account, everything you need is there.

The visual appeal comes down to user preference, but FOX Bet definitely deserves some high marks. Top features include dedicated sections for live betting and promotions, as well as keeping the most popular events front and center.

To use the app, you’ll need to be within the borders of a state where it’s legal. If you’re not, you won’t be able to bet, but you can handle basic account management stuff when out-of-state.

How does the FOX Bet Sportsbook compare to other US books?

It takes more than name recognition and a stellar sign-up offer for a sportsbook to be worthy of your time. For FOXBet, there are a lot of positives. The online sportsbook and app are slick and user-friendly. It’s easy to get around and find what you’re looking for, and all functions are easy to complete.

  • Best feature: One area where it really stands out is with its array of ongoing promos. It seems as if there’s always something interesting here.
  • Worst feature: On the downside, FOX Bet devotes a lot of space to trending and custom bets on the website. It would be nice to have a way to minimize those feeds to be less intrusive. It’s not the end of the world, but it does distract from what’s a very user-friendly platform.
  • Ease-of-use: On the ease-of-use front, other areas that stand out are the sections for live betting and more wagers. FOX Bet keeps everything clearly labeled and sortable, so you won’t be waste time hunting around like you may at other books.

That puts FOX Bet on par with other sportsbooks that prioritize functionality like FanDuel Sportsbook and Caesars Online Sportsbook.

What’s great about FOX Bet

  • Great online and mobile betting platform.
  • A steady stream of promo offerings.
  • Direct tie-ins with Fox

Areas in need of improvement

  • A lot of space is dedicated to trending bets.
  • A slightly smaller selection of niche sports than some competitors.
  • Only available in four states to date.

FOXBet legal sports betting states

FOX Bet first made its debut in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 2019. The sportsbook has since expanded to another pair of legal sports betting markets. Here are some details on those additional states.

FOXBet Sportsbook in Michigan

Legal Michigan sports betting went live in January 2021. FOX Bet Michigan was one of the first sites out of the gate in what has shaped up to be a competitive market. It gained access via a deal with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Gaming Authority, the operators of Odawa Casinos in Petoskey and Mackinaw City.

Retail sports betting first arrived in Michigan in March 2020. Following the later launch of online sportsbooks, FanDuel is the early leader in the state, followed by DraftKings and BetMGM. There’s plenty of other market share available, and the FOX Bet Michigan app is among those competing for it.

The sports scene in Michigan is always busy. Top local options like the Detroit Lions and Red Wings attract plenty of betting action, and FOX Bet isn’t shy about offering special promotions and odds boosts for local teams.
You can also bet on college sports in the state, including on teams from Michigan schools.

FOX Bet Sportsbook in Michigan is available on the web and an app for Android and iOS. You can sign up remotely, so there’s no need to trek to your local casino unless you want to. There’s a full menu of sports and bets to explore at FOX Bet, as well as ongoing promos to keep things interesting.

FOX Bet Sportsbook in Colorado

Online sports betting in Colorado made its way in May 2020. FOX Bet Colorado was just a few weeks behind the initial launch via a partnership deal with Lady Luck Casino in Black Hawk. Colorado is another hotly contested state, which has attracted all of the top names in sports betting.

When the state reports revenue numbers, it’s on a total basis and not broken down by sportsbook. All told, business is booming in the Centennial State. As has been the case in other legal states, industry giants like DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM are likely the biggest needle movers, with FOX Bet among those battling it out for the rest of the market.

Colorado is home to teams in all of the major North American pro leagues, with the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche among the big draws for sportsbooks. You can expect to see incentives tied into the local teams at FOX Bet. College sports are also a big deal here, and you can bet on in-state teams without issue.

However, Colorado does not allow prop betting on college football or basketball. The FOX Bet Colorado app is available on the web and via iOS and Android apps in Colorado. Remote registration is available, so you can take care of everything on your computer or phone. As is the case in other legal states, you must be within state lines to place real money bets with FOX Bet.

All legal states with the FOX Bet Sportsbook app

FOX Bet is available in four states for now. The team behind the scenes continues to eye additional markets like Illinois, Tennessee and Virginia, and expansion seems likely. Here are some more details about the currently available markets.

State Partner Launch Date
New Jersey Sportsbooks Resorts Casino August 2019
Pennsylvania Sportsbooks Mount Airy Casino September 2019
Colorado Sportsbooks Lady Luck Casino May 2020
Michigan Sportsbooks Odawa Casino January 2021

While sports betting is legal in all of the above markets, keep in mind that there are some state-specific rules to be mindful of. For example, you can’t bet on in-state college teams and games in New Jersey, but the same restrictions don’t apply in Pennsylvania. You can get complete details on the rules by clicking on our state links in the above table.

How to sign up/create an account

Head to the FOXBet Sportsbook page and register for an account. On the first step, you’ll need to enter a valid email address and choose a username and password. Next, you’ll check off boxes that confirm you’re 21 or older, that you accept the license agreement and that you understand the privacy policy.

Once you’ve done that, create the account and you’ll receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. Click on the confirmation link, and you’ll finish the process by entering some additional details:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Social Security number

It’s all standard stuff that helps protect and verify your identity. If there’s any trouble with that, you’ll receive a notification to resolve it. The registration process takes just a few minutes and is similar to what you’ll see at other legal online sportsbooks.

Available bets at FOX Bet Sportsbook

You’ll find all of the standard bets at the sportsbook. Main game listings feature the odds for moneylines, spreads and totals, while clicking on an individual game reveals additional options. When we did so with an MLB game, we arrived at a new page that features all of the available bets in sortable form by preferred category.

  • Popular
  • Specials
  • Innings
  • Spread
  • Runs
  • Other
  • All wagers

There also are dedicated sections for alternative runs and lines, as well as for bet boosts and custom bets specific to that game. One area of disappointment was the lack of player props in relation to competitors. DraftKings and FanDuel crush it here, but FOXBet devotes most of its attention to bet boosts on specific props.

On the positive front, though, the “more wagers” section is clean and functional. There’s a range of available options to explore, but the clickable headers make it simple to drill down into what you’re looking for. The live betting tab is the same, as you can sort it by sport easily without having to scroll through all of the current games and events.

  • Pro: Live betting and section for more wagers are clean and organized.
  • Con: Would like to see more individual player props.

Betting options with the FOXBet app

FOX Bet has a solid selection of sports available for betting. All of the major competitions appear prominently, and each has its own direct link. There’s also a dedicated section for th
e most popular upcoming events.

When it comes to smaller sports, there’s also a decent enough selection, but slightly less than what you’ll find on a site like BetMGM. If you’re content with top niche sports like darts and table tennis, you’ll be happy.

For those who need to go really deep down the well with options like fencing and sailing, you won’t find them at FOX Bet. On both the web and app, there’s an expandable menu for all of the available sports that you can browse.

The live betting tab is sortable for either all options or by specific sport. This is great to see, as some sites leave everything jumbled together in a confusing layout. At FOXBet, everything is clean and organized.

To place bets, just click the odds and the bet slip pops up right away. You can add more choices or simply plug in your bet, review your wager and submit it. If ease of use is a big deal for you, then FOXBet is a good option.

  • Pro: Clean layout of sports and markets.
  • Con: Slightly smaller selection of niche sports than some competitors.

FOXBet banking by state

You can choose from several funding options at FOX Bet. There are some slight variations on what you can use in each of the states where it operates. Here’s how to make your deposits on a state-specific basis.

State Deposit Options
New Jersey Credit and debit cards, e-checks, PayNearMe, PayPal, cash at the cage, Skrill, Vanilla Direct
Pennsylvania Credit and debit cards, bank transfer, PayPal, cash at the cage, Skrill, PayNearMe, Vanilla Direct
Colorado Credit and debit cards, bank transfer, PayPal, Skrill, PayNearMe, Vanilla Direct
Michigan Credit and debit cards, bank transfer, PayPal, Skrill, Paysafecard, PayNearMe

The in-person cash-at-the-cage option is only available in two spots, while Vanilla Direct cards work in three of the four available states. FOXBet is also a sportsbook that accepts Skrill, which not many other sportsbooks do.

For withdrawals, not all the same methods are available. As an example, you can deposit with PayNearMe, but you’ll need another way to get money out. If you want to use cash at the cage, here’s where to do so in NJ and PA.

  • FOXBet in New Jersey: Resorts Casino, 1133 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ
  • FOXBet in Pennsylvania: Mount Airy Casino, 312 Woodland Road, Mount Pocono, PA

Processing times for withdrawals can vary, but it’s generally within 24 hours. In our experience, we found it to be much quicker. The amount of time it takes you to actually get the funds back in your account will depend on the method you select.

  • Pro: Good assortment of funding options.
  • Con: Methods may vary by state.

Customer support

There are three ways to get some help at FOX Bet: the help link on site, live chat and a basic support form. The help section search feature could use some work, as we found that it took some time. On the positive side, there are detailed sections for house rules, FAQs and even a how-to guide.

To get to the live chat, you have to go through a virtual assistant. We got through pretty quick, but the assistant had some trouble with basic queries. Once we got in the waiting line, we were speaking to a rep quickly and found the service to be professional and courteous.

For less pressing matters, there’s a basic email contact form where you can submit your info and question and wait to hear back. Overall, we found the answers and help we were looking for at FOX Bet, but the process could be a little smoother.

  • Pro: Live chat available.
  • Con: Virtual assistant and extra clicking to get where you want.

FOXBet sportsbook — retail locations

FOXBet has land-based partners in all four states in which it is currently available. Three of the state locations have sportsbooks on site that are operated by the venue or other partners, while one has a direct affiliation with FOXBet.

State Sportsbook Address Phone Number
Pennsylvania Bet On It Sportsbook Mount Airy 312 Woodland Road, Mount Pocono, PA 877-682-4791

Sportsbook integrated with online casino/poker

Casino and poker are also available via FOXBet in select states in conjunction with PokerStars. There are direct links to available options on each state-specific site, so you can click back and forth without issue. There’s also a shared wallet if you want to take some of your sports betting winnings and try your hand at other forms of gambling.

FOXBet entry into the US market

FOX Bet came on the scene in 2019 via a partnership between Fox Sports and The Stars Group. It basically replaced BetStars, the original sports betting brand name from TSG. The initial rollouts happened in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. FOXBet has since expanded to Colorado and Michigan and aims to be available elsewhere in the near future.

Featured prominently on FOX Sports programming, the sportsbook has a lot of marketing muscle behind the scenes. FOX Bet features a regular assortment of ongoing promotions, and often offers special tie-ins with network personalities.

On the usability front, FOXBet is on par with many of the industry’s heavyweights. That hasn’t translated into a ton of market share as of yet. So far, FOXBet is among those jockeying for smaller slices of market share in available states.

While it doesn’t appear as if it will be a threat to DraftKings or FanDuel anytime soon, there’s a lot to be said for being a viable second option in the big markets. FOXBet definitely deserves to be in the category of those that are worth checking out.
